Hocus Pocus
I love all things sweet and spooky and I'm getting in the mood for Halloween. I have been practising my cackle all afternoon.

I have a cookie policy and I'm refusing to let it be boring. To combat the tedium, I drew a very special cookie icon and I've included a recipe for possibly the best ever cookies in my cookie policy. Come for the legal terms, stay for the biscuits!
I've been playing around with colour. The website has a well-considered colour palette and, to celebrate, so do I.
It's my birthday and I'm celebrating in style. I have my party dress and a pin badge, now all I need to do is remain elegant and put cake in my mouth rather than down my clothes.
I have just launched the Ginger Club. If you sign up, you get first dibs on new designs, access to exclusive designs, and a healthy discount. You get all the privileges of a private members' club without needing to learn Latin.
Consider this my official notice: Ginger Mail is now operational, fully staffed by one extremely committed employee, and every single parcel gets treated like it's the only one in the sack.
This week has been a proper coding saga. The glasses came out of the drawer somewhere around hour four, strictly for focus, and I caught myself rather enjoying being able to actually read my own code for once. Vanity took a back seat to visibility.
There's something lovely about a corner of the internet where wanting something isn't the same as buying it. Not wands. Not spells. Just enough people wanting the same thing at the same time, and someone paying attention. No urgency, no countdown timer, just a small collection of things you like, sitting there patiently until the moment is right — or until enough people wish for the same thing that it becomes real.
No crime, no culprit, nothing to solve. Just a morning that turned into an adventure because I decided it would. I imagined myself as a noir detective, trenchcoat and magnifying glass in hand, ready to take on my next mystery.
Every so often an idea arrives that is completely impractical, entirely pointless, and impossible to ignore. This is one of those ideas: a queen whose entire skirt is made of coupons. None of this outfit is remotely wearable, remotely sensible, or remotely necessary, which is exactly the appeal. Some ideas exist purely to be fun to draw.
I don't want to catch meningitis, so I decided to have a vaccine to stop that. Here I am in scrubs, needle in hand, looking weirdly confident about the whole thing. Growth, I guess.
Big news, small announcement: my sticker shop is officially live. This has been a while in the making, and I'm genuinely proud of it. Not shouting it from the rooftops, just... quietly delighted it's real now.
I've spent the last however-many months (I've lost count, don't ask) building this place up from a sketch on a napkin to somewhere you can actually visit, and now it's finally got a "you" shaped bit in it too.
England play Mexico at 1am tonight (yes, actually 1am — I checked twice), and honestly the only reason I'm staying up is that stripes-and-a-scarf combo is doing something for me. Kickoff is stupidly late, but a good outfit makes anything worth staying up for.
The Catz May Ball happened last night and I am not the same person. I got henna. I ate churros. I watched fire performers at midnight and gymnasts at half past twelve and a samba band in between. At 3am someone handed me a pastry and I sat on a step watching the sky start to lighten and thought: yes. This is it. This is exactly it.
Strawberry Fair is Cambridge's one-day celebration of music, arts, people, and pure festival magic — and this year it's back for its 51st year. The theme? Area 51. Which is the most perfect, most chaotic, most Cambridge theme imaginable, and I am completely here for it.
I spent a very warm weekend in France. I'm in love with the culture, the clothes, and the food.
I am done with the day and I'm doing the end properly. Dressing gown on, brain off.
White blouse. Denim shorts. Curly hair with its own agenda. This is the outfit I come back to when everything else feels like too many decisions.
Today is dungaree day: the outfit matches the attitude and I'm ready for anything.
